Quality

ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and what documented quality means in practice.

Pegol is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. In practice it means documentation that follows the material the whole way.

Quality is a word used so often it has stopped meaning anything. For us it is concrete: that the material matches the specification, that it is possible to show which material was delivered, and that whoever is asked about it three years later can answer.

It is also why we work with a small number of suppliers rather than many. If you have a question about a certificate or a documentation requirement in a project, get in touch directly.

Certifications

Pegol is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for quality and ISO 14001:2015 for the environment. The certificates say that the way we work has been examined by someone other than ourselves, which is the entire point of them.

What documented quality means

The difference is not in the product, but in what can be evidenced three years later.

Quality in this industry is rarely visible on the product. A steel looks the same whether or not the analysis is correct, and a bolted joint looks tightened whatever torque was used. What separates them is what can be shown afterwards.

So documentation and traceability follow the material. If a part fails, or a tool does not behave as it should, it is possible to work backwards through the delivery instead of guessing. That applies as much to the steel as to the torque tools: ITH's input material is certified and traceable, and the tightening can be recorded and stored.

Quality at our suppliers

The certificates behind the range, held by the people who make it.

Our quality is no better than our suppliers'. Odlewnie Polskie is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 for castings in ductile iron, grey iron and cast steel including machining. voestalpine BÖHLER produces against stated specifications and standards, and ITH manufactures in its own factory in Meschede from certified and traceable input material.

  • ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 at Pegol
  • ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 at the foundry
  • Certified and traceable input material at ITH

Why choosing quality pays off

Fewer replacements

Components that last longer need replacing less often. In heavy machinery the cost rarely sits in what the part costs to buy, but in the downtime when something has to be changed.

Lower cost across the service life

A longer service life spreads the investment across more years. That calculation is what decides whether a more costly material is the right choice, not what it costs on the day.

Less material consumed

Products that last longer consume less material over time. Ours also go into sectors such as wind power and railway, where the whole purpose is to reduce emissions.

Frequently asked questions

Which certifications does Pegol hold?

Pegol is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for quality and ISO 14001:2015 for the environment. The certificates mean the way we work has been audited by someone other than ourselves.

Can you tell afterwards which material was delivered?

Yes. Documentation and traceability follow the material, so if a part breaks or a tool does not behave as it should, it is possible to work back through the delivery instead of guessing.

Are your suppliers certified?

Yes. Odlewnie Polskie is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 for castings in ductile iron, grey iron and steel, including machining, and ITH manufactures in its own plant in Meschede with certified, traceable input material.
